  I have an associates degree in business administration, a bachelors degree in psychology, and a masters degree in counseling psychology. I was a National Certified Counselor for many years and am a licensed professional counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I received cognitive training on rational emotive therapy through the Albert Ellis Institute and addictions recovery training through the Caron Foundation. I've been in private practice since 1990, specializing issues related to sexual violence, incest, childhood sexual abuse, and post traumatic stress disorder recovery.

  Through my consultation business, I've developed slide shows on child pornography and other topics related to childhood trauma, and have presented at many national conferences at venues such as the University of Chicago and the University of Delaware. I've appeared on over 20 television shows and the National Public Radio, as well as being the subject of several newspaper articles. I was the keynote speaker at the April 2002 Sexual Violence Task Force Seminar in Berks County PA, was the clinical consultant for the MTV sexual abuse/incest special 'Fight Back' and was the featured therapist in a 1998 educational film on crime and the elderly, produced by the Kutztown University for the Berks County Office of Aging.
